Creative Spirit Art School
Welcome to Creative Spirit Art School! Providing Art Education for all experience and skill levels in all media as well as Portfolio Prep for Garrison and Savannah Arts Academy. The focus of all art classes is to provide a positive and encouraging learning environment which supports development and nurturing of the Creative Spirit. Choosing Creative Spirit Art School means your child will be provided the experience of one-to-one art education and mentorship. Small class sizes (no more than 4 students per class) creates a unique art experience which meets the needs of each individual student while also encouraging building of artistic peer relationships in a small group setting. Having an art teacher with extensive experience as an art educator and an education background in fine arts and art therapy provides a foundation for both development of artistic skills and nurturing of creative thinking, and positive self image.

"Five stars for Julie! My daughter has a love for art, but prior to working with Julie, she didn't have a lot of formal training or knowledge of basic drawing principles. In a short span of five classes, Julie gave her all the necessary tools she needed to build a strong portfolio to submit to Garrison School for the Arts. But that was just the beginning. Julie also thoroughly researched Garrison's application requirements and timelines and even reached out to teachers at Garrison to make sure we knew everything necessary to have a complete portfolio and application. The best part about Julie, though, is her generosity, wisdom, and encouragement. My daughter could not wait for each session to work with her. It was a joyful time. She was admitted to Garrison, but even if she hadn't placed, the time with Julie was precious and valuable."
"My little guy loves art with Ms. Julie! Each week, he became more and more confident as he learned new skills and enjoyed the experience of creating. Ms. Julie encourages my 6 year old and is so patient with him, as active and energetic as he is! He thrives with her, and has truly wowed us with his creations! Art with Ms. Julie is a lot of fun and a fantastic learning experience!"
"We are so thankful we found Creative Spirit Art School. Our daughter has thoroughly enjoyed learning and growing in her artistic abilities. Julie is a wonderful teacher who promotes freedom of expression while she guides students through learning new techniques. The class schedules are flexible and affordable, and students practice using numerous mediums. The best part is that all supplies are included! Whether your child is an aspiring artist seeking portfolio support, or wants a creative way to express herself, Creative Spirt Art School is the best choice."

Julie has taught my 9 year old daughter Olivia weekly for several months. I am amazed at Julie’s ability to allow my child to explore her own interests while also helping her to improve technique. Julie is open to helping Olivia with whatever she is in the mood to work on that day. She has helped Olivia practice painting, pastels, and drawing. She has even offered to help produce a portfolio if needed for future endeavors. This has been one of the few extracurricular activities that my child does not tire of. Art day is the highlight of Olivia’s week. When I pick her up she is always excited to show off her work. I am always astonished to see the beautiful artwork that is produced in their short amount of time together. The best thing about Julie may be her kind, encouraging spirit. She put Olivia at ease right away on her first day. She truly cares about her students and delights in watching them grow. We look forward to seeing Olivia grow in her abilities as she continues to work with Julie for weeks to come!
